They are easy to use and can save time. To install one, just squeeze-- no stripping or twisting required. The 3M Scotchlok IDC Connector 564 electrically connects two through (run) wires and insulates the connection.
3M Crimping Tool E-9BM, Linesman Pliers or Multigrip (Slip Joint) Pliers are the recommended installation tools for this connector
Suitable for control circuit wiring, fixture wiring, appliance wiring, signal and PA systems and automotive/boat/RV wiring
Accommodates 18 to 14 AWG solid/stranded (tap) and 12 to 10 AWG solid/stranded (run)
