The Extension Post is designed for use with the Durahoist Portable Fall-Arrest System Anchor Post to provide a single fall arrest tie-off point above the swivel tie-off rings.

Application Restrictions

  • This extension is to be used with the DuraHoist Portable Fall-Arrest System Anchor Post only.
  • The extension mayy be used to anchor one worker only.
  • The installed anchor post and accessories must be 72” (1830mm) or less from any edge where a fall may occur.
  • Use of the extension derates the portable fall-arrest anchor post assembly to a maximum of two workers tied off to the swivel tie-off head.
  • Portable fall-arrest system anchor post must be in a vertical position any time it is being used as a fall arrest anchor point.
  • Rectractable devices and shock absorbers must have a maximum arrest force (M.A.F.) rating of 900 lbs (4KN.) or less, and must be installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Each installation must be approved to local standards by a qualified engineer.
