xEDELRID Low Stretch Static rope is a high strength static kernmantle rope manufactured to have minimum elongation. The minimal stretch (less than 2%) means that the rope has less "bounce" when ascending and also enables precise work when hauling and rigging heavier loads. The construction of the sheath makes the EDELRID Low Stretch Static resistant to abrasion and wear from ascenders and other devices. The rope is ideal for rope access, rescue and industrial use and is tested for use with ActSafe models ACC and ACX.
EDELRID have been making ropes for well over 150 years. They are credited with the invention of "kernmantle" rope in early 1950.
The quality of their ropes is renown and ongoing development has meant the modern kernmantle rope is lightweight, abrasion resistant and strong.
