The Ferno VPX Safety Helmet is intended for use across height safety, construction, mining, emergency services, and technical rescue applications where consistent performance, secure fit, and user comfort are essential to safe operations and enhanced voluntary wearer compliance. Certified to both AS/NZS 1801:2024 and EN 12492:2012, the VPX Safety Helmet bridges the gap between industrial safety and climbing-style protection.
Its multi-impact tested design, lightweight construction, and secure-fit system provide dependable protection whether on site, on rope, in field or in rescue scenarios.
Included features ensure the Ferno VPX performs consistently across diverse and demanding conditions. Comfort and usability are equally prioritised.
The VPX features an adjustable fit system that adapts to the wearer, ensuring helmet stability during movement and extended wear.

Supplementary Electrical Classification Information
The Ferno VPX helmet is certified to AS/NZS 1801:2024 however, while it has passed electrical resistance testing, it is not classified as a dielectric (Class E) helmet. Under AS/ NZS 1801:2024, dielectric protection is defined separately from helmet type and requires:
- Class E designation, including testing to 20,000 volts AC.
- Specific marking on the shell or headband.
- A non-vented design.
Ferno advises that the VPX helmet does not meet all Class E requirements and must not be considered suitable for electrical hazard protection. Electrical classification is independent of impact type ratings (Type 1–4), and only helmets explicitly marked Class E should be used where exposure to live electrical conductors is likely.
