RAFA stands for Roof Access Fast Anchor - an adjustable, reusable, non-destructive, portable abseil anchor that is quickly and easily deployable on rooftops, beams, stairways, doorframes etc. However, it’s not intended only for impossible anchor situations. It’s also often used as a quick way to redirect the main rope when covering different sections of a façade. Or, it makes a great overhanging anchor, removing the need for edge protection. There’s no doubt the RAFA an amazing device.
If no suitable anchor placements exist, a second RAFA would be needed for the safety line.
