xSkylotec XTB Large Triple Lock Karabiner 30kN, Silver
The Skylotec XTB Large Triple Lock Karabiner is a large HMS connector in aluminium alloy with a silver finish and a three-action auto-locking gate, marked 30kN on the major axis, 8kN on the minor axis and 11kN with the gate open, and a 26mm gate clearance. Skylotec developed it for rescue services and mountaineering, and built it around a wide base and a resistant cross-section for rope manoeuvres under heavy loads. The wide opening makes it comfortable to handle and the catch-free system stops it snagging as it is clipped and unclipped. It carries UIAA approval, can be packed in a SEAL PAC, weighs 0.10kg, has a 30 year maximum service life and is rated from -35 to +45 degrees C. It must be selected, checked for compatibility, inspected and used with matching equipment by a competent person under a documented fall protection plan.
